Friendly Plastic is back (yesss!)

Yes, ladies & gentlemen - it's back!
Friendly Plastic is making it's comeback now at Crafts Direct (soon to be starting a world tour!) These colorful, shiny plastic sticks soften quickly in warm water for shaping by hand or with tools to create or accent any home decor or jewelry project.

Remember all those awesome jewelry pieces you wore in the 80's & 90's - you can re-create retro looking pieces, or try something more modern with ideas found in the "Friendly Plastic 101" book. Take a look at one sample idea that I found online.

To go along with the flashback theme we have going- we just received some new pop-pom & lantern kits. (Pom-poms being a "classic" craft & all.) These kits are featured in the current Nicolecrafts Magazine.

Last but not least is "Hot Wax Art"- it's a new product that uses colored beeswax to embellish fabric, paper, canvas & many other surfaces. Using the Hot Wax Stylus - it heats up the wax enough to "paint" on pretty much any surface.

Here's a great video that tells you a bit more about it - with project ideas & instructions on how to use the stylus!
