New Baby Items!

We have you covered! Next time you are invited to a baby shower- stop by Crafts Direct for your shower gift. One of our Home Decor Rooms (at the front of the store) was recently switched over to a baby-themed room.

And whenever there's a new room- there has to be new products (yay!) There are a ton of great gift ideas too: New plush toys that have a unique corduroy fabric finish.

Spring/Summer Paper!

Imaginisce just came out with some great summer papers & coordinating stickers! The designs are really bright colors & have fun summer themed designs like- ice cream, popsicles, flip-flops & flowers.

The next new line is from Paper House Productions. It includes paper with images of lighthouses, beaches, shorelines (fishing) & also the Grand Canyon. There are also some state stickers. The Minnesota one is pictured - how many of these places have you been to visit?

I think this is my favorite of the new lines: Making Memories has new spring/floral paper & awesome die-cut shaped-paper! If you like the paper, you'll love the embellishments: coordinating stickers, brads, layered flower buttons & an assorted embellishment box!


Last but not least: we just got in the tool kit for The Slice (from Making Memories.) This 15pc set comes in a cute storage case and includes tweezers, spatula, craft knife, ruler & much more. If you're not familiar with The Slice - here's a quick introductory video.

Woodwick Candles

Some great new scents of Woodwick & Woodwick Fusion Candles have just arrived: Cassis Berry, Lemongrass Sage, Meadow, Petals, Tradewinds, & Zinfandel!

Yes, we all know that spring doesn't officially begin until March 20th this year, but when you walk through Crafts Direct you may feel differently.

More spring items are arriving daily - and that means more displays! Here's another room that was just finished.

I think my favorite part is the lantern hanging in the middle....or maybe the archway with the flowers....I love them both. This room just makes me smile. I think I may have to go sit in it next time it snows!

I know this will be a popular one for anyone with kids in school-we just got in some new "Erupting Volcano" and "Cell Structure" kits. It contains everything you need to create a great display! Paintable Wood Items 4 Spring

There are many new unfinished wood items that just arrived, most of them are from the Nicolecrafts Magazine....

New Seasonal - Everyday!

I think the Seasonal Department could add to this New Products Blog -everyday! It is amazing how much great new stuff arrives daily. Here are three examples:

1) Fresh Lemon: There is an entire endcap set up of different kitchen items with this lemon design on it. You can chose from plates, pitchers, platters, cutting boards and more. But I do have to tell you about my favorite one of all: the lemon-shaped salt & pepper shakers - they're awesome!

2) Sewing & Quilting: Not to confuse you, but these items are found in the Seasonal area...they just happen to have a sewing theme. This collection includes mugs & wall hangings, button-shaped magnets & button-shaped coasters.

3) Filler Beads: These pellet-beads come in many assorted colors and would look great in the bottom of glass bowls and vases. Interesting looks can be created by layering several different colors of the beads in a tall vase.

"New-ish" Beads

We actually have had these beads for a while - but as I was walking down the Jewelry Aisle - I noticed again. In case you missed them when they first arrived - here's a few photos.

Beyond Beautiful bead packs come in many bright new colors and shapes. I really like this style of packaging where the beads are strung, rather than being loose beads in a bag - I think it gives you a better idea of what a finished jewelry piece will look like.

The other bead that I know we have had for a while is called Frosting. This line has an elegant feel to it - and contains a lot of faceted beads, pearls, drop beads & metal filigree.

New Webkinz!

These are the latest & greatest new kinds of Webkinz that we carry. There are ten new styles including: Grey Arabian (horse), Porcupine, Keylime Dino, Chimpanzee, Husky (dog), Emeror Dragon, American Golden (dog), Grey Owl, Turtle & a Groundhog!To go along with your new pet we have some new accessories including an argyle sweater and matching hat! The great thing about the outfits are that when you purchase one for your pet to wear - you also get a code to enter, so your online/virtual pet can wear the same outfit!

In case you don't know - the January "Pet of the Month" is the Bulldog.

Displays to inspire you

I know that the holidays are officially over when the last Christmas display leaves the store. But the good news is that it means everyone is busy setting up new displays.
The Home Decor & Floral Departments have teamed up to re-decorate all of the display rooms (across the front of the store.) I love it cause it's like a little corner of a house all decorated with clocks, mirrors, shelves & flowers. Here are "a few" photos I took this morning!

Eco-Friendly Yarn!

Red Heart has just come out with two new styles of Eco-Friendly yarn: Eco-Cotton & Eco-Ways

Red Heart Eco-Cotton Yarn is made from recycled t-shirts. It's a 4-ply yarn that is perfect to knit or crochet into comfy sweaters, soft throws and other home decor items. It retails for $3.49 a skein.

Red Heart Eco-Ways Yarn is a medium weight 4-ply yarn and is made from 30% recycled polyester and 70% acrylic fiber. It has a great feel and the same great washability that customers expect in a yarn that they can feel good about using! This yarn can be used with any of the the patterns and leafletts for Red Heart Super Saver yarns.

Calling all red tractor lovers!
Print Concepts has come out with a great International Harvester group that rivals the "green guy" who has had the market cornered for years. It's really cute-check it out!

One other item that came in is the Incredible In-Between Gripper. (The smaller version of the Gypsy Gripper.)
It's a super-strong, four-inch single suction-cup gripper, with a handy installation for use with your larger rulers and templates.

Get ready for Valentines Day!

Valentines Day will be here before you know it (it's only a month away.) And we are ready for it. You will find many endcaps with Valentine's crafts - in just about every department in the store! The latest edition being the foamie endcaps - You'll find all kinds of foamie kits, shapes, stickers and more. There are even a few St. Patrick's Day & Easter foamies. These kits are great for kids (and adults) they include all the pieces you need to create a fun project!
